Comparison of effect of Rifampicin injection and Rifampicin capsules in treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis
Objective:To compare effects of Rifampicin injection and Rifampicin capsule in treatment of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 70 patients with pulmonary tuberculosis admitted to this hospital from 2021 to 2023.They were divided into observation group and control group according to the random number table method,35 cases in each group.Both groups were given routine treatment.On this basis,the control group was treated with Rifampicin capsules,while the observation group was treated with Rifampicin injection.Both groups were treated for 3 months.The clinical efficacy,the liver function indexes[alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),total bilirubin(TBIL)]levels before and after the treatment,the medication compliance(Morisky medication compliance scale)score,and the sputum negative conversion rate were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 94.29%(33/35),which was higher than 77.14%(27/35)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before the treatment,there were no statistically significant differences in the AST and TBIL levels between the two groups(P>0.05).After the treatment,the levels of ALT,AST and TBIL in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);however,there were no significant differences between the two groups(P>0.05).After 1 and 3 months of treatment,the medication compliance scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,after 1 and 3 months of treatment,the sputum negative conversion rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:Rifampicin injection can improve the total effective rate,the medication compliance scores and the sputum negative conversion rate in the treatment of the patients with pulmonary tuberculosis.Moreover,it is superior to Rifampicin capsule treatment.
