Comparison of effects of Desogestrel and Ethinylestradiol and Dydrogesterone in treatment of adolescent patients with abnormal uterine bleeding
Objective:To compare effects of Desogestrel and Ethinylestradiol and Dydrogesterone in treatment of adolescent patients with abnormal uterine bleeding. Methods:The clinical data of 60 adolescent patients with abnormal uterine bleeding admitted to this hospital from January 2021 to January 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different therapeutic drugs, they were divided into control group and observation group,30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Dydrogesterone, while the observation group was treated with Desogestrel and Ethinylestradiol. The clinical efficacy, the bleeding control and the hemostasis time, the sex hormone indexes[progesterone, follicle stimulating hormone(FSH),estradiol(E2),luteinizing hormone(LH)]levels, the clinical symptoms(dysmenorrhea, premenstrual syndrome)scores, the menstrual conditions(menstrual cycle, menstrual volume),and incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results:There was no significant difference in the total effective rate between the two groups(P>0.05).The bleeding control time in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, the amount of bleeding was less than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of progesterone,FSH,E2 and LH in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment;however, there were no significant differences between the two groups(P>0.05).The scores of clinical symptoms such as dysmenorrhea and premenstrual syndrome in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and that in the observation group was lower than that in the control group;the menstrual cycle of the two groups were shorter than those before treatment, but that in the observation group was longer than that in the control group;the menstrual volume of the two groups were less than those before the treatment, but that in the observation group was more than that in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 23.33%(7/30),which was higher than 3.33%(1/30)in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:Desogestrel and Ethinylestradiol in the treatment of the adolescent patients with abnormal uterine bleeding can shorten the bleeding time, reduce the amount of bleeding, reduce the clinical symptom scores,It is superior to single Dydrogesterone, but the incidence of adverse reactions, the menstrual volume and prolong the menstrual cycle are higher than those of Dydrogesterone treatment.
