Application effects of tracking nutrition nursing in elderly patients with colorectal cancer surgery
Objective:To observe application effects of tracking nutrition nursing in elderly patients with colorectal cancer surgery. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 126 elderly patients with colorectal cancer surgery admitted to the hospital from 2019 to 2022.According to the random number table method, they were divided into observation group and control group,63 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, while the observation group was given the tracking nutrition nursing on the basis of that of the control group. The levels of nutrition indexes[albumin(ALB),total protein(TP),prealbumin(PA),transferrin(TF)],the health status[Karnofsky performance scale(KPS)]score, the quality of life[General quality of life inventory-74(GQOLI-74)]score before and after the nursing, and the nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results:After the nursing, the levels of TP,PA,ALB and TF in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the nursing, the KPS,GQOLI-74 scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the nursing satisfaction of the observation group was 98.41%(62/63),which was higher than 85.71%(54/63)of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The tracking nutritional nursing in the elderly patients with colorectal cancer surgery can improve the levels of nutrition indexes, the health status scores, the quality of life scores and the nursing satisfaction. Moreover,it is superior to the routine nursing.
