Application effects of holistic nursing in children with Kawasaki disease
Objective:To observe application effects of holistic nursing in children with Kawasaki disease.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 86 children with Kawasaki disease admitted to this hospital from January 2020 to June 2022.According to the random number table method,they were divided into study group and control group,43 cases in each group.The control group was given routine nursing,while the study group was given the holistic nursing on the basis of that of the control group.The compliance score,the scores of disease knowledge,the quality of life[the MOS 36-item short form health survey(SF-36)]score before and after the nursing,and the parental nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results:The compliance scores of medication compliance,reasonable diet,oral and skin self-care and regular review in the study group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the nursing,the disease knowledge score of the parents in the study group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the nursing,the scores of SF-36 dimensions such as physiological function,physiological role,emotional function,mental health,vitality,social function,physical pain and overall health in the study group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the nursing satisfaction of parents in the study group was 95.35%(41/43),which was higher than 79.07%(34/43)in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The holistic nursing in the children with Kawasaki disease can improve the compliance scores,the quality of life scores,the parental disease knowledge scores and the parental nursing satisfaction.Moreover,it is superior to the routine nursing.
