Effects of Bifidobacterium triple viable bacteria Combined with quadruple therapy on Helicobacter pylori positive gastroesophageal reflux
Objective:To observe effects of Bifidobacterium triple viable bacteria combined with quadruple therapy in treatment of patients with Helicobacter pylori(Hp)positive gastroesophageal reflux. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 200 patients with Hp-positive gastroesophageal reflux admitted to the hospital from June 2020 to April 2023.According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and study group,100 cases in each group. The control group was treated with quadruple therapy, while the study group was treated with Bifidobacterium triple viable bacteria on the basis of that of the control group. The clinical efficacy, the Hp eradication rate, the clinical symptom scores before and after the treatment, the gastric function[pepsinogen I(PGI),gastrin-17(G-17)]levels,the esophageal sphincter pressure[upper esophageal sphincter(UES)and lower esophageal sphincter(LES)resting pressure]level, and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of treatment in the study group was 95.00%(95/100),which was higher than 85.00%(85/100)in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The Hp eradication rate of the study group was 93.00%(93/100),which was higher than 82.00%(82/100)of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the clinical symptom scores of the two groups were lower than those before the treatment, that in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the levels of PGI,G-17,and UES and LES resting pressure in the two groups were higher than those before the treatment, those in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Bifidobacterium triple viable bacteria combined with quadruple therapy in the treatment of the Hp-positive gastroesophageal reflux patients can improve the clinical efficacy and the Hp eradication rate and improve the gastric function and the esophageal sphincter pressure. Moreover,it is superior to single quadruple therapy.
