Effects of laparoscopic appendectomy with mesothelial dissection in treatment of patients with acute appendicitis
Objective:To observe effects of laparoscopic appendectomy with mesothelial dissection in treatment of patients with acute appendicitis. Methods:The clinical data of 107 patients with acute appendicitis admitted to this hospital from January 2020 to February 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. They were divided into control group(n=53)and observation group(n=54)according to different surgical methods. The control group was treated with laparoscopic appendectomy, while the observation group was treated with laparoscopic appendectomy with mesothelial dissection. The levels of perioperative indexes, the levels of inflammatory indexes[C-reactive protein(CRP),white blood cell count(WBC)and neutrophil(NE)]before and after the surgery, and the incidence of complications during hospitalization were compared between the two groups. Results:There was no significant difference in the hospitalization time between the two groups(P>0.05).The operation time, the ambulation time, the postoperative first exhaust time and the postoperative first defecation time of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group, the intraoperative blood loss was less than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).3 days after the surgery, the levels of CRP,WBC and NE in the two groups were higher than those 1 day before the surgery, but those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups during hospitalization(P>0.05).Conclusions:Laparoscopic appendectomy with mesothelial dissection for the patients with acute appendicitis can reduce the levels of perioperative indexes and inflammatory indexes. Moreover,it is superior to laparoscopic appendectomy.
