Effects of high ligation of great saphenous vein combined with injection of foam sclerosing agent in treatment of patients with varicose great saphenous veins
Objective:To observe effects of high ligation of great saphenous vein combined with injection of foam sclerosing agent in treatment of patients with varicose great saphenous veins. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 91 patients with varicose great saphenous veins admitted to the Interventional Department of Puyang People's Hospital from February 2021 to January 2023.According to the random number table method, they were divided into study group(46 cases)and control group(45 cases). The control group was treated with high ligation of great saphenous vein combined with stripping, while the study group was treated with high ligation of great saphenous vein combined with injection of foam sclerosing agent. The clinical efficacy, the intraoperative blood loss, the first ambulation time, the operation time, the hospitalization time, and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of the study group was 93.48%,which was significantly higher than 77.78%of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The first ambulation time, the operation time and the hospitalization time in the study group were shorter than those in the control group, the intraoperative blood loss was less than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the incidence of complications in the study group was 2.17%,which was significantly lower than 17.78%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:High ligation of great saphenous vein combined with injection of foam sclerosing agent in the treatment of the patients with varicose great saphenous veins can improve the total effective rate of treatment, shorten the first ambulation time, the operation time and the hospitalization time, and reduce the intraoperative blood loss and the incidence of postoperative complications. Moreover,it is superior to high ligation of the great saphenous vein combined with stripping.
