Effects of Tranexamic acid combined with Oxytocin on prevention of postpartum hemorrhage in cesarean section
Objective:To observe effects of Tranexamic acid combined with Oxytocin on prevention of postpartum hemorrhage in cesarean section. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 80 parturients with cesarean section admitted to the hospital from February 2021 to February 2023.According to the coin tossing method, they were divided into observation group and control group,40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Oxytocin to prevent postpartum hemorrhage, while the observation group was combined with Tranexamic acid injection on the basis of that of the control group. The amount of bleeding 2 and 24 h after the surgery, the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage, the levels of coagulation function indexes[prothrombin time(PT),activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT),fibrinogen(FIB)],the levels of uterine involution indexes(duration of uterine contraction, descending rate of uterine fundus, duration of bloody lochia),and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:The amount of bleeding levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group 2 and 24 h after the surgery, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of postpartum hemorrhage in the observation group was 0,which was significantly lower than 15.00%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).24 h after the surgery,PT and APTT in the two groups were shorter than those before the surgery, and those in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group;the FIB levels of the two groups were higher than those before the surgery, and that in the observation group was higher than that in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The duration of uterine contraction in the observation group was longer than that in the control group, the descending rate of uterine fundus was faster than that in the control group, the duration of bloody lochia was shorter than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Tranexamic acid combined with Oxytocin in the prevention of postpartum hemorrhage of cesarean section can reduce the amount of postoperative bleeding and the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage and improve the levels of coagulation function indexes and uterine involution indexes. Moreover,it is superior to single Oxytocin treatment.
