Effects of 3D printing technology-assisted arthroscopic minimally invasive internal fixation in treatment of patients with tibial plateau fractures
Objective:To observe effects of 3D printing technology-assisted arthroscopic minimally invasive internal fixation in treatment of patients with tibial plateau fractures. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 60 patients with tibial plateau fractures admitted to Ruichang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2021 to December 2022.According to the random number table method, they were divided into study group and control group,30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with arthroscopic minimally invasive internal fixation, while the study group was treated with 3D printing technology-assisted arthroscopic minimally invasive internal fixation. The intraoperative blood loss, the operation time, the fracture healing time, the postoperative knee function[hospital for special surgery knee function scale(HSS)]score, the postoperative activities of daily living[Barthel index(BI)]score, the short-term efficacy, and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results:The intraoperative blood loss in the study group was less than that in the control group, the operation time and the fracture healing time were shorter than those in the control group, the HSS and BI scores 3 months after the surgery were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The excellent and good rate of treatment in the study group was 96.67%(29/30),which was higher than 73.33%(22/30)in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the incidence of complications in the study group was 6.67%(2/30),which was lower than 26.67%(8/30)in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:3D printing technology-assisted arthroscopic minimally invasive internal fixation for the patients with tibial plateau fractures can improve the excellent and good rate of treatment, shorten the operation time, reduce the intraoperative blood loss, accelerate the postoperative fracture healing, and improve the knee function and the activities of daily living. Moreover,it is superior to simple arthroscopic minimally invasive internal fixation.
