Effects of Huangqi Jianzhong decoction(addition and subtraction)combined with quadruple therapy in the treatment of Hp-positive chronic gastritis
Objective:To observe effects of Huangqi Jianzhong decoction(addition and subtraction)combined with quadruple therapy in treatment of patients with Helicobacter pylori(Hp)-positive chronic gastritis.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 100 patients with Hp-positive chronic gastritis admitted to the hospital from September 2021 to September 2022.According to the random number table method,they were divided into control group and observation group,50 cases in each group.The control group was treated with quadruple therapy,while the observation group was treated with Huangqi Jianzhong decoction(addition and subtraction)on the basis of that of the control group.The remission time of clinical symptoms,the levels of gastrointestinal hormone indexes[motilin(MOT),pepsinogen I(PGI),gastrin(GS)]and the TCM syndrome score before and after the treatment,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The relief time of abdominal distension,acid reflux,nausea and loss of appetite in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the MOT levels of the two groups were higher than those before the treatment,and that in the observation group was higher than that in the control group;the levels of PGI and GS in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the scores of TCM syndromes such as abdominal fullness,nausea and vomiting,belching and acid reflux,dull pain and hiccups,hunger without desire for food,vomiting of water in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Huangqi Jianzhong decoction(addition and subtraction)combined with quadruple therapy can shorten the remission time of clinical symptoms,improve the levels of gastrointestinal hormones,and reduce the of TCM syndrome scores in the patients with Hp-positive chronic gastritis.Moreover,it is superior to single quadruple therapy.
