Application effects of PDCA cycle nursing in children with epilepsy
Objective:To observe application effects of PDCA cycle nursing in children with epilepsy.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 74 children with epilepsy admitted to this hospital from March 2020 to May 2022.According to the drawing method,they were divided into observation group and control group,37 cases in each group.The control group was given routine nursing,while the observation group was given the PDCA cycle nursing.The Wechsler intelligence scale for children(C-WISC)score,the Chinese version of the 16-item health-related quality of life-specific scale for children with epilepsy(QOLCE-16)score,the nursing ability score,and the nursing satisfaction score of the parents were compared between the two groups.Results:At discharge,the C-WISC score and QOLCE-16 scores of the two groups were higher than those before the nursing,those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).At discharge,the scores of nursing ability of the parents in the two groups were higher than those before the nursing,those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,at discharge,the nursing satisfaction scores of parents'health education,ward environment,nursing staff's work attitude and nursing technology in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The PDCA cycle nursing in the children with epilepsy can improve the C-WISC and QOLCE-16 scores,and the parents'nursing ability and the nursing satisfaction scores.Moreover,it is superior to the routine nursing.
