Influencing factors of needle stick injury protection in nursing staff
Objective:To analyze influencing factors of needle stick injury protection of nursing staff.Methods:A cross-sectional study was conducted on 216 nursing staffin the hospital from July to September 2023.The clinical data of nursing staffwere collected.The needle stick injury protection scores of different nursing staffwere evaluated and compared.Multiple linear regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of needle stick injury protection of the nursing staff.Results:The needle injury protection score of the nursing staffwas(66.23±6.15)points.There were no significant differences in the scores of needle stick injury protection among the nurses with different gender,age,professional title,marital status,educational level,monthly average income and employment mode(P>0.05).The needle stick injury protection score of the nurses with working years<5 years,occupational protection training<2 times/year,night shift>5 times/month,self-efficacy score≤9 points,quality of nursing work life scale(QNWLS)score≤168 points,and Hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA)score≥14 points was lower than that of other types of nurses,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Multivariate linear regression analysis showed that working years<5 years,occupational protection training<2 times/year,night shifts>5 times/month,self-efficacy score≤9 points,QNWLS score≤168 points,HAMA score≥14 points were risk factors for needle stick injury protection of the nursing staff(P<0.05).Conclusions:Working years<5 years,occupational protection training<2 times/year,night shift>5 times/month,self-efficacy score≤9 points,QNWLS score≤168 points,HAMA score≥14 points are the risk factors for needle stick injury protection of the nursing staff.
