Effects of phacoemulsification, intraocular lens implantation combined with angle separation in treatment of patients with primary acute angle-closure glaucoma complicated with cataract
Objective:To observe effects of phacoemulsification, intraocular lens implantation combined with angle separation in treatment of patients with primary acute angle-closure glaucoma(APACG)complicated with cataract. Methods:The clinical data of 102 patients with APACG complicated with cataract admitted to the hospital from January 2019 to February 2022 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different surgery methods, they were divided into observation group and control group,51 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with phacoemulsification, intraocular lens implantation combined with angle separation, while the control group was treated with phacoemulsification, intraocular lens implantation combined with trabeculectomy. Both groups were followed up for 3 months. The clinical efficacy, the intraocular pressure level, the best corrected visual acuity(BCVA)level, the eye function index(anterior chamber depth, trabecular iris angle, visual field defect)levels before and after the surgery, and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 98.04%(50/51),which was higher than 84.31%(43/51)of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3 months after the surgery, the intraocular pressure level of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, the BCVA level was higher than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).3 months after the surgery, the anterior chamber depth and the trabecular iris angle of the observation group were greater than those of the control group, the visual field defect level was smaller than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Phacoemulsification,intraocular lens implantation combined with angle separation in the treatment of the APACG patients with cataract can improve the total effective rate of treatment and the BCVA levels, reduce the levels of intraocular pressure, and improve the levels of eye function indexes. Moreover,it is superior to phacoemulsification, intraocular lens implantation combined with trabeculectomy.
