Effects of live Lactobacillus capsule for vaginal use sequential antibiotics in treatment of patients with mixed vaginitis
Objective:To observe effects of live Lactobacillus capsule for vaginal use sequential antibiotics in treatment of patients with mixed vaginitis.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 120 patients with mixed vaginitis admitted to the hospital from February 2022 to February 2023.According to the random number table method,they were divided into control group and observation group,60 cases in each group.The control group was treated with live Lactobacillus capsule for vaginal use combined with antibiotics(Metronidazole vaginal effervescent tablets,2%Clindamycin phosphate vaginal gel),while the observation group was treated with live Lactobacillus capsule for vaginal use sequential antibiotics treatment after 3 days of antibiotic withdrawal.The clinical efficacy,the disappearance time of clinical symptoms(vulva pruritus,vaginal burning sensation,increased secretions),the vaginal microecological indexes(pH value,flora diversity,flora density,dominant bacteria),and the serum oxidative stress indexes[malondialdehyde(MDA),superoxide dismutase(SOD),endothelin(ET-1)]levels before and after the treatment,the recurrence rate,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 96.67%(58/60),which was higher than 81.67%(49/60)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The disappearance time of vulva pruritus,vaginal burning sensation and increased secretion in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the levels of vaginal pH value,flora diversity,flora density,normal rate of dominant bacteria and the serum SOD level in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,while the serum MDA and ET-1 levels were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 3 months of treatment,the recurrence rate of the observation group was 3.33%(2/60),which was lower than 13.33%(8/60)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).No serious adverse reactions occurred in both groups.Conclusions:Compared with simultaneous medication,live Lactobacillus capsules for vaginal use and sequential antibiotics in the treatment of the patients with mixed vaginitis has a significant effect,which can accelerate the disappearance of clinical symptoms,promote the recovery of vaginal microecological environment,reduce the oxidative stress response,and reduce the recurrence rate of the disease.
