Effects of Aripiprazole combined with Risperidone in treatment of patients with schizophrenia
Objective:To observe the effect of Aripiprazole combined with Risperidone in the treatment of patients with schizophrenia. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 100 patients with schizophrenia admitted to this hospital from May 2021 to May 2023.According to the lottery method, they were divided into control group and observation group,50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Risperidone, while the observation group was treated with Aripiprazole on the basis of that of the control group. Both groups were treated for 2 months. The clinical efficacy, the psychiatric symptoms[positive and negative symptom scale(PANSS)]score, the cognitive function[revised Wechsler memory scale(WMS-RC)]score,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups before and after the treatment. Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 92.00%(46/50),which was higher than 74.00%(37/50)of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the PANSS scores of positive symptoms, negative symptoms and general psychopathological symptoms in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the WMS-RC scores of immediate memory, delayed memory, visual memory and delayed visual memory in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Aripiprazole combined with Risperidone in the treatment of the patients with schizophrenia can improve the total effective rate and the cognitive function scores, and reduce the mental symptom scores. Moreover,it is superior to single Risperidone treatment.
