Effects of acupuncture combined with routine rehabilitation training on children with autism of hyperactivity of heart-liver fire type
Objective:To observe effects of acupuncture combined with routine rehabilitation training on children with autism of hyperactivity of heart-liver fire type. Methods:The clinical data of 80 children with autism of hyperactivity of heart-liver fire type admitted to the fifth affiliated hospital of Zhengzhou university from July 2021 to July 2022 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different treatment methods, they were divided into study group and control group,40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine rehabilitation training, while the study group was treated with acupuncture on the basis of that of the control group. Both groups were treated continuously for 3 months. The clinical efficacy, the autism treatment evaluation scale(ATEC)score, the autism behavior scale(ABC)score, and the repeated stereotyped behavior scale(revised version)(RBS-R)score were compared between the two groups before and after the treatment. Results:The total effective rate of treatment in the study group was 90.00%(36/40),which was higher than 70.00%(28/40)in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the scores of ATEC I,II,III and IV in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment, those in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the ABC scores of the two groups were lower than those before the treatment, that in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,after the treatment, the scores of RBS-R dimensions such as restrictive behavior,self-injury behavior, ritual behavior, stereotyped behavior, fixed behavior and forced behavior in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment, those in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:Acupuncture combined with routine rehabilitation training can improve the total effective rate of treatment and reduce the scores of ATEC,ABC and RBS-R in the children with autism of hyperactivity of heart-liver fire type. Moreover,it is superior to simple routine rehabilitation training.
