Effects of Shenfu injection combined with conventional Western medicine in treatment of patients with acute heart failure
Objective:To observe effects of Shenfu injection combined with conventional Western medicine in treatment of patients with acute heart failure.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 80 patients with acute heart failure admitted to the hospital from January 2021 to October 2023.According to the random number table method,they were divided into study group and control group,40 cases in each group.The control group was treated with conventional Western medicine(Isosorbide mononitrate tablets+Furosemide injection+Dopamine hydrochloride injection),while the study group was treated with Shenfu injection on the basis of that of the control group.The clinical efficacy,the cardiac function indexes[left ventricular end-systolic diameter(LVESD),left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD),left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)]levels,the serum myocardial injury markers[creatine kinase isoenzyme(CK-MB),troponin I(cTnI),brain natriuretic peptide(BNP)]levels,the mean arterial pressure,the heart rate,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups before and after the treatment.Results:The total effective rate of treatment in the study group was 85.00%(34/40),which was higher than 65.00%(26/40)in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the levels of LVEF and mean arterial pressure in the study group were higher than those in the control group,the levels of LVESD,LVEDD,heart rate and serum CK-MB,cTnI and BNP were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusions:Shenfu injection combined with conventional Western medicine is effective in the treatment of the patients with acute heart failure,which can improve the cardiac function,improve the blood pressure and the heart rate,and reduce the degree of myocardial injury.Moreover,it is superior to simple conventional Western medicine treatment.
