Application effects of wrist-ankle acupuncture combined with acupuncture at governor vessel in limb function rehabilitation of patients with ischemic stroke in recovery period
Objective:To explore application effects of wrist-ankle acupuncture combined with acupuncture at governor vessel in limb function rehabilitation of patients with ischemic stroke in recovery period.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 60 patients with ischemic stroke in recovery period admitted to this hospital from January 2021 to January 2023.According to the random number table method,these patients were divided into control group and observation group,30 cases in each group.The control group was treated with acupuncture at the governor vessel,while the observation group was treated with wrist-ankle acupuncture on the basis of that of the control group.The clinical efficacy,the scores of quality of life[stroke specific quality of life scale(SS-QOL)],self-care ability[modified Barthel index(MBI)]and limb motor function[Fugl-Meyer motor assessment(FMA)]scores before and after the treatment,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 93.33%(28/30),which was higher than 73.33%(22/30)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 2 weeks of treatment,the scores of SS-QOL,MBI and FMA in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Wrist-ankle acupuncture combined with acupuncture at the governor vessel is effective in the patients with ischemic stroke in recovery period,which can improve the limb motor function,the self-care ability and the quality of life.Moreover,it is superior to single acupuncture at the governor vessel.
