Comparison of application effects of immediate implantation and delayed implantation in patients with dental trauma repair
Objective:To compare application effects of immediate implantation and delayed implantation in patients with dental trauma repair. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 179 patients with dental trauma who underwent implantation treatment in this hospital from January 2022 to January 2023.They were divided into study group(n=89)and control group(n=90)according to the random number table method. The study group implemented immediate implantation, while the control group implemented delayed implantation. The implant stability[implant stability quotient(ISQ)],the treatment cycle, the periodontal related indexes levels before and after repair[probing depth(PD),plaque index(PLI),sulcus bleeding index(SBI)],the aesthetic degree[pink esthetic score(PES),white esthetic score(WES)]score, and the clinical efficacy were compared between the two groups. Results:There was no significant difference in the ISQ score between the two groups(P>0.05).The treatment cycle of the study group was shorter than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After repair, the levels of PD,PLI and SBI in the two groups were lower than those before repair, those in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).3 months after repair, the PES and WES scores of the two groups were higher than those before repair, those of the study group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total effective rate between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Immediate implantation can improve the aesthetic scores, shorten the treatment cycle and reduce the levels of periodontal index in the patients with dental trauma repair. Moreover,it is superior to delayed implantation.
