Application effects of NBASS-APS model nursing in elderly patients in anesthesia recovery room
Objective:To observe application effects of acute pain management(NBASS-APS)model nursing in elderly patients in anesthesia recovery room. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 150 elderly patients in the anesthesia recovery room admitted to the hospital from May 2022 to May 2023.According to the random number table method, they were divided into study group and control group,75 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine nursing, while the study group was treated with NBASS-APS model nursing. The pain degree[visual analogue scale(VAS)]score, the comfort degree[Kolcaba comfort questionnaire(GCQ)]score, and the incidence of adverse reactions of anesthesia were compared between the two groups.Results:30 min after entering the room, the VAS scores of the two groups were lower than those at 5 min after entering the room, that in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).3 min before leaving the room, the GCQ scores of physiology, psychology, spirit, social culture and environment in the two groups were higher than those 5 min after entering the room, and those in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the incidence of anesthesia adverse reactions in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The NBASS-APS model nursing in the elderly patients in anesthesia recovery room can improve the comfort scores and reduce the pain scores and the incidence of adverse reactions of anesthesia. Moreover,it is superior to the routine nursing.
