Application effects of health empowerment theory nursing in patients after artificial knee replacement
Objective:To observe application effects of health empowerment theory nursing in patients after artificial knee replacement. Methods:The clinical data of 75 patients who underwent artificial knee replacement in this hospital from January 2021 to September 2022 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different nursing methods, they were divided into observation group(37 cases)and control group(38 cases). The control group was given routine nursing, while the observation group was given the health empowerment theory nursing on the basis of that of the control group. The levels of perioperative related indexes, the self-care ability[exercise of self-care agency scale(ESCA)]score, the incidence of postoperative complications, and the postoperative knee joint function[hospital for special surgery(HSS)]score were compared between the two groups before and after the nursing. Results:The first feeding time, the first out-of-bed time and the hospitalization time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).At discharge, the ESCA scores of self-concept,self-care responsibility,self-care skills and health knowledge level in the two groups were higher than those before the nursing, those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,at discharge and 6 months of follow-up,the HSS scores of the two groups were lower than those before the nursing, those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:On the basis of the routine nursing, the health empowerment theory nursing can improve the self-care ability scores of the patients after artificial knee replacement and reduce the levels of perioperative related indexes, the knee function scores and the incidence of postoperative complications. Moreover,it is superior to single routine nursing.
