Influencing factors of readmission within 1 year after discharge in patients with bipolar disorder and depressive episodes
Objective:To analyze influencing factors of readmission within 1 year after discharge in patients with bipolar disorder and depressive episodes. Methods:A cross-sectional study was conducted on 1924 patients with bipolar disorder and depressive episodes admitted to Beijing Anding Hospital of Capital Medical University from 2018 to 2022.The clinical data of these patients were collected. The readmission within 1 year after discharge was statistically analyzed. They were divided into readmission group and non-readmission group according to whether they were readmitted.COX multiple regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of readmission within 1 year after discharge in the patients with bipolar disorder and depressive episodes. Results:Among the 1924 patients with bipolar disorder and depressive episodes,347 were readmitted within 1 year after discharge, with a readmission rate of 18.04%(347/1924).There were no statistically significant differences in terms of gender, educational level, marital status, family medical history, and treatment with antidepressants between the two groups(P>0.05).There were statistically significant differences in terms of age, number of previous hospitalizations, course of disease, combined psychiatric symptoms, and use of mood stabilizers between the two groups(P<0.05).The COX multiple regression analysis showed that age, number of previous hospitalizations, combined psychiatric symptoms, and use of mood stabilizers were all risk factors for readmission within 1 year after discharge in the patients with bipolar disorder and depressive episodes(P<0.05).Conclusions:Age,number of previous hospitalizations, combined psychiatric symptoms, and use of mood stabilizers are the risk factors for readmission within 1 year after discharge in the patients with bipolar disorder and depressive episodes.
