Current situation and influencing factors of fear of cancer recurrence in patients with primary lung cancer
Objective:To analyze current situation and influencing factors of fear of cancer recurrence(FCR)in patients with primary lung cancer. Methods:A cross-sectional study was conducted on 96 patients with primary lung cancer admitted to this hospital from May 2021 to May 2023.The short form of the fear of progression questionnaire(FoP-Q-SF)was used to evaluate the FCR status of these patients, and the baseline data of patients were collected for univariate analysis.Multiple linear regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of FCR in the patients with primary lung cancer. Results:The FoP-Q-SF score of the 96 patients with primary lung cancer was 24-48 points, with an average of(34.89±2.36)points.There were no significant differences in the FoP-Q-SF scores among the patients with primary lung cancer with different body mass index, occupation, smoking history, drinking history, underlying diseases, medical insurance and tumor stage(P>0.05).There were statistically significant differences in the FoP-Q-SF scores among patients with primary lung cancer of different ages, genders, places of residence, educational levels, family monthly incomes, and surgical methods(P<0.05).The multiple linear regression analysis showed that age<50 years old, female, living in the city, high school education and below, family monthly income<5000 yuan, and thoracotomy were all risk factors for FCR in the patients with primary lung cancer(P<0.05).Conclusions:Age<50 years old, female, living in the city, high school education and below, family monthly income<5000 yuan, and thoracotomy are the risk factors for FCR in the patients with primary lung cancer.
