Effects of Bifidobacterium triple viable capsule combined with Norfloxacin and Montmorillonite powder in treatment of patients with acute bacterial diarrhea
Objective:To observe effects of Bifidobacterium triple viable capsule combined with Norfloxacin and Montmorillonite powder in treatment of patients with acute bacterial diarrhea.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 94 patients with acute bacterial diarrhea admitted to the hospital from September 2021 to May 2023.According to the random number table method,they were divided into study group and control group,47 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Norfloxacin capsules combined with Montmorillonite powder,while the study group was treated with Bifidobacterium triple viable capsule on the basis of the control group.The clinical efficacy,the symptom disappearance time,the hospitalization time,the serum inflammatory factor[C-reactive protein(CRP),procalcitonin(PCT),interleukin-6(IL-6),amyloid protein(SAA)]levels before and after the treatment,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of the study group was 95.74%(45/47),which was higher than 80.85%(38/47)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The disappearance time of abdominal pain,the recovery time of stool traits,the recovery time of stool frequency and the hospitalization time in the study group were shorter than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).After 5 days of treatment,the levels of serum CRP,PCT,IL-6 and SAA in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusions:Bifidobacterium triple viable capsule combined with Norfloxacin and Montmorillonite powder is effective in the treatment of the patients with acute bacterial diarrhea,which can improve the total effective rate of treatment,accelerate the disappearance of clinical symptoms,shorten the hospitalization time and reduce the levels of inflammatory factors.Moreover,it is superior to Norfloxacin combined with Montmorillonite powder treatment.
