Application effects of biofeedback electrical stimulation combined with pelvic floor muscle training in patients with pelvic floor dysfunction disease
Objective:To observe application effects of biofeedback electrical stimulation combined with pelvic floor muscle training in patients with pelvic floor dysfunction disease. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 86 patients with pelvic floor dysfunction admitted to the hospital from March 2022 to April 2023.According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and observation group,43 cases in each group. The control group was given pelvic floor muscle training intervention, while the observation group was combined with biofeedback electrical stimulation intervention on the basis of that of the control group. Both groups were intervened for 2 months. The pelvic floor muscle electromyography index levels, the pelvic floor muscle strength grade, the pelvic floor dysfunction[pelvic floor disorder impact questionnaire-7(PFIQ-7)]score,and the urodynamic index(maximum bladder capacity, maximum urinary flow rate)levels were compared between the two groups before and after the intervention. Results:After the intervention, the average pre-resting electromyography value, the average post-resting electromyography value, the average electromyography value of the slow muscle, and the maximum electromyography value of the fast muscle of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the intervention, the pelvic floor muscle strength grading of the observation group was better than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the intervention, the PFIQ-7 score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,after the intervention, the maximum bladder capacity and the maximum urinary flow rate in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The biofeedback electrical stimulation combined with pelvic floor muscle training in the patients with pelvic floor dysfunction can improve the levels of pelvic floor muscle electromyography and urodynamic indexes, optimize the pelvic floor muscle strength grading, and reduce the scores of pelvic floor dysfunction. Moreover,it is superior to simple pelvic floor muscle training intervention.
