Application effects of pelvic floor rehabilitation therapy instrument combined with Kegel exercise in patients with postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction disease
Objective:To observe application effects of pelvic floor rehabilitation therapy instrument combined with Kegel exercise in patients with postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction disease. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 86 patients with postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction admitted to this hospital from January to June 2023.According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and observation group,43 cases in each group. The control group was given Kegel exercise intervention, while the observation group was combined with pelvic floor rehabilitation therapy instrument intervention on the basis of that of the control group. Both groups were intervened for 12 weeks. The urinary incontinence[International Consultative Committee on incontinence questionnaire-short form(ICIQ-SF)]score,the pelvic floor electromyography levels, the pelvic floor dysfunction[pelvic floor impact questionnaire-7(PFIQ-7)]score,and the sexual dysfunction[female sexual function index(FSFI)]score were compared between the two groups before and after the intervention. Results:After the intervention, the scores of ICIQ-SF and PFIQ-7 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the FSFI score was higher than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,after the intervention, the myoelectric levels of type Ⅰ and Ⅱ muscle fibers in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The pelvic floor rehabilitation therapy instrument combined with Kegel exercise can reduce the urinary incontinence scores and the pelvic floor dysfunction scores, and improve pelvic floor muscle electromyography levels and the sexual dysfunction scores in the patients with postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction. Moreover,it is superior to simple Kegel exercise intervention.
