Effects of acupuncture combined with routine rehabilitation training on patients with hemiplegia after stroke
Objective:To observe effects of acupuncture combined with routine rehabilitation training on patients with hemiplegia after stroke. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 113 patients with hemiplegia after stroke admitted to the hospital from January 2021 to January 2023.According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group(56 cases)and observation group(57 cases). The control group was treated with routine rehabilitation training, while the observation group was treated with acupuncture on the basis of that of the control group. Both groups were treated for 8 weeks. The clinical efficacy, the serological indexes[cyclic adenosine monophosphate(cAMP),cyclic guanosine monophosphate(cGMP)]levels, the motor function[Fugl-Meyer motor assessment(FMA)]score, the neurological deficit[National Institutes of Health stroke scale(NIHSS)]score, and the activities of daily living[Barthel index(BI)]score were compared between the two groups before and after the treatment. Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 96.49%(55/57),which was higher than 82.14%(46/56)of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the level of cAMP in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, the level of cGMP was lower than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,after the treatment, the FMA and BI scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the NIHSS score was lower than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:Acupuncture combined with routine rehabilitation training in the treatment of the patients with hemiplegia after stroke can improve the total effective rate, the motor function scores and the activity of daily living scores, improve the levels of serological indexes, and reduce the neurological deficit scores. Moreover,it is superior to single routine rehabilitation training.
