Effects of Shengxuebao granules combined with Polysaccharide-iron complex in treatment of patients with iron deficiency anemia during pregnancy
Objective:To observe effects of Shengxuebao granules combined with Polysaccharide-iron complex in treatment of patients with iron deficiency anemia during pregnancy.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 82 patients with iron deficiency anemia during pregnancy admitted to the hospital from October 2022 to January 2024.According to the random number table method,they were divided into control group and observation group,41 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Polysaccharide-iron complex,while the observation group was treated with Shengxuebao granules on the basis of that of the control group.Both groups were treated continuously for 1 month.The clinical efficacy,the levels of erythrocyte parameters[hemoglobin(Hb),red blood cell distribution width(RDW),mean corpuscular hemoglobin(MCH),mean corpuscular volume(MCV)]and the iron metabolism indexes[serum iron(SI),serum ferritin(SF)],the incidence of adverse reactions,and the incidence of adverse maternal and infant outcomes were compared between the two groups before and after the treatment.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 90.24%(37/41),which was higher than 70.73%(29/41)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).After the treatment,the levels of Hb,MCH,MCV,SI and SF in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,the RDW level was lower than that in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).The incidence of adverse maternal and infant outcomes in the observation group was 4.88%(2/41),which was lower than 19.51%(8/41)in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusions:Shengxuebao granules combined with Polysaccharide-iron Complex in the treatment of the patients with iron deficiency anemia during pregnancy can improve the total effective rate of treatment,improve the levels of erythrocyte parameters,improve the levels of iron metabolism indexes,and reduce the incidence of adverse maternal and infant outcomes.Moreover,it is superior to single Polysaccharide-iron complex treatment.
