Correlations among expression levels of HER-2 and Ki67 and pathological parameters in breast cancer tissues
Objective:To analyze correlations of expression levels of human epidermal growth factor receptor-2(HER-2)and proliferating cell nuclear antigen(Ki67)and pathological parameters in breast cancer tissues. Methods:The clinical data of 70 patients with breast cancer admitted to this hospital from September 2021 to April 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. The expression levels of HER-2 and Ki67 in the cancer tissues were detected by immunohistochemical staining. The expression levels of HER-2 and Ki67 in cancer tissues of the breast cancer patients with different pathological parameters were compared. The correlations among the expression levels of HER-2 and Ki67 and the pathological parameters were analyzed. Results:Among the 70 patients with breast cancer,54 cases were positive for HER-2 in the cancer tissues, with a positive rate of 77.14%(54/70);and Ki67 was positive in 47 cases, with a positive rate of 67.14%(47/70).There were no significant differences in the positive rates of HER-2 and Ki67 in the cancer tissues of the breast cancer patients with different ages and pathological types(P>0.05).There were significant differences in the positive rates of HER-2 and Ki67 in the breast cancer tissues of the patients with different lymph node metastasis, clinical stage and tumor diameter(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that the expression levels of HER-2 and Ki67 in the breast cancer tissues were positively correlated with lymph node metastasis, clinical stage and tumor diameter(r>0,P<0.05).Conclusions:The expression levels of HER-2 and Ki67 in the breast cancer tissues are positively correlated with lymph node metastasis, clinical stage and tumor diameter.
