Diagnostic value of combined detection of serum Bcl-2,IGF-1 and CA19-9 levels in esophageal cancer
Objective:To analyze diagnostic value of combined detection of serum B-cell lymphoma-2(Bcl-2),insulin-like growth factor-1(IGF-1)and carbohydrate antigen 19-9(CA19-9)levels in esophageal cancer.Methods:The clinical data of 126 patients with suspected esophageal cancer admitted to this hospital from January 2020 to August 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.All patients underwent serological tests and endoscopic biopsy.The levels of serum Bcl-2,IGF-1 and CA19-9 were compared among the patients with benign and malignant tumors and among the malignant patients with different pathological characteristics.The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was used to analyze the diagnostic value of single and combined detection of serum Bcl-2,IGF-1 and CA19-9 levels for esophageal cancer.Results:In the 126 patients with suspected esophageal cancer,70 cases of malignant tumors were detected by pathology,including 54 cases of squamous cell carcinoma and 16 cases of adenocarcinoma.There were 56 benign cases,including 37 cases of atypical hyperplasia and 19 cases of leiomyoma.The levels of serum Bcl-2,IGF-1 and CA19-9 in the malignant patients were higher than those in the benign patients;the serum levels of Bcl-2,IGF-1 and CA19-9 in the patients with high stage,low differentiation and lymph node metastasis were higher than those in the patients with low stage,middle and high differentiation and no lymph node metastasis;and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).ROC curve showed that the areas under the curve of single and combined detection of serum Bcl-2,IGF-1 and CA19-9 levels in the diagnosis of esophageal cancer was 0.802,0.836,0.767 and 0.918,separately.The diagnostic value of combined detection was higher than that of single index detection.Conclusions:The value of combined detection of serum Bcl-2,IGF-1 and CA19-9 levels in the diagnosis of esophageal cancer is higher than that of single index detection.
