Comparison of effects of COOK double-balloon catheter and Dinoprostone suppositories induced labor in full-term pregnant women
Objective:To compare effects of COOK double-balloon catheter and Dinoprostone suppositories induced labor in full-term pregnant women. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 86 full-term pregnant women admitted to the obstetrics department of the hospital from February 2021 to February 2023.According to the random number table method, they were divided into study group and control group,43 cases in each group. The control group was induced by Dinoprostone suppositories, while the study group was induced by COOK double-balloon catheter. The total effective rate of cervical ripening, the pregnancy outcome, the cervical maturity, the incidence of complications 48 hours after delivery, the duration of labor, and the labor time were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of cervical ripening in the study group was 95.35%(41/43),which was higher than 79.07%(34/43)in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The vaginal delivery rate and the Apgar score of the study group were higher than those of the control group, the cesarean section rate was lower than that of the control group, the amount of bleeding 24 hours after delivery was less than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).6 h after implantation, the cervical Bishop scores of the two groups were higher than those 1 h before implantation, that in the study group was higher than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the study group was 4.65%(2/43),which was lower than 18.60%(8/43)in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the time of the first stage of labor, the second stage of labor, the third stage of labor and the labor time in the study group were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The application of COOK double-balloon catheter in the full-term pregnant women induced labor can improve the total effective rate of cervical ripening and the Bishop scores, improve the pregnancy outcome, shorten the time of each stage of labor and the labor time, and reduce the incidence of postpartum complications. Moreover,it is superior to Dinoprostone suppositories.
