Application effects of early warning mechanism combined with position change nursing in neonatal pneumonia
Objective:To observe application effects of early warning mechanism combined with position change nursing in neonatal pneumonia.Methods:The clinical data of 70 children with pneumonia admitted to the neonatal department of the hospital from January 2020 to January 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different nursing methods,they were divided into observation group(n=35)and control group(n=35).The control group was treated with position change nursing,while the observation group was combined with early warning mechanism on the basis of that of the control group.The levels of vital signs[arterial carbon dioxide partial pressure(PaCO2),arterial oxygen partial pressure(PaO2),blood oxygen saturation(SpO2),respiratory rate(RR)],the hospitalization time,the disappearance time of clinical symptoms,and the incidence of complications during the nursing were compared between the two groups before and after the nursing.Results:After the nursing,the levels of SpO2 and PaO2 in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,the levels of PaCO2 and RR were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The disappearance time of clinical symptoms such as fever,cough and wheezing,pulmonary rales and the hospitalization time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the incidence of complications in the observation group was 2.86%(1/35),which was lower than 22.86%(8/35)in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The early warning mechanism combined with position change nursing in the children with pneumonia can improve the level of vital signs,shorten the disappearance time of clinical symptoms and the hospitalization time,and reduce the incidence of complications.Moreover,it is superior to simple position change nursing.
