Application effects of Newman system nursing in patients undergoing breast nodules surgery
Objective:To observe application effects of Newman system nursing in patients undergoing breast nodules surgery.Methods:The clinical data of 128 patients with breast nodules admitted to this hospital from March 2021 to April 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different nursing methods,they were divided into control group and study group,64 cases in each group.The control group received routine nursing,while the observation group received the Newman system nursing on the basis of that of the control group.The scores of negative emotions[self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS)],sleep quality[Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)]and quality of life[World Health Organization quality of life measurement scale(WHOQOL-BREF)]were compared between the two groups before and after the nursing.Results:After the nursing,the scores of SAS and SDS in the two groups were lower than those before the nursing,those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The PSQI scores of sleep quality,time before falling asleep,sleep time,sleep efficiency,sleep disorder,hypnotic drugs and daytime dysfunction in the two groups were lower than those before the nursing,those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Further,the WHOQOL-BREF scores of the two groups in the physiological field,psychological field,environmental field and social relationship were higher than those before the nursing,those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusions:On the basis of the routine nursing,the Newman system nursing can improve the quality of life scores of the patients with breast nodules,and reduce the scores of negative emotion and sleep quality.Moreover,it is superior to simple routine nursing.
