Effects of platelet rich plasma combined with Glucosamine indometacin enteric-coated tablets in treatment of patients with early and middle knee osteoarthritis
Objective:To observe effects of platelet rich plasma(PRP)combined with Glucosamine indometacin enteric-coated tablets in treatment of patients with early and middle knee osteoarthritis(KOA).Methods:The clinical data of 96 patients with early and middle stage KOA admitted to the hospital from January 2022 to January 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different treatment options, they were divided into control group and study group,48 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Glucosamine indometacin enteric-coated tablets, while the study group was treated with PRP on the basis of that of the control group. The clinical efficacy, the joint function[knee joint function scale(Lysholm),Western Ontario and McMaster University of orthopedic index(WOMAC)]score, the joint synovial fluid inflammatory factors[interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-1β(IL-1β),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)]levels,the joint synovial fluid matrix metabolism related indicators[matrix metalloproteinase-3(MMP-3),matrix metalloproteinase-13(MMP-13),hyaluronic acid(HA)]levels, the serum microRNA-140(miR-140),and the microRNA-365(miR-365)levels were compared between the two groups before and after the treatment. Results:The total effective rate of the study group was 91.67%(44/48),which was higher than 72.92%(35/48)of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the Lysholm score of the study group was higher than that of the control group, the WOMAC score was lower than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the levels of IL-6,IL-1β,TNF-α,MMP-3 and MMP-13 in the synovial fluid of the study group were lower than those in the control group, the level of HA was higher than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,after the treatment, the level of serum miR-140 in the study group was higher than that in the control group, the level of miR-365 was lower than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:PRP combined with Glucosamine indometacin enteric-coated tablets in the treatment of the early and middle KOA patients can improve the total effective rate of treatment and the levels of miR-140,improve the joint function scores and the levels of matrix metabolism related indicators of joint synovial fluid, and reduce the levels of inflammatory factors and miR-365 in the joint synovial fluid. Moreover,it is superior to simple Glucosamine indometacin enteric-coated tablets treatment.
