Effects of Tianma Gouteng decoction combined with Felodipine sustained release tablets in treatment of patients with essential hypertension of liver yang hyperactivity type
Objective:To observe effects of Tianma Gouteng decoction combined with Felodipine sustained release tablets in treatment of patients with essential hypertension(EH)of liver yang hyperactivity type.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 100 patients with EH of liver-yang hyperactivity type admitted to the hospital from June 2021 to June 2023.According to the random number table method,they were divided into observation group and control group,50 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Felodipine sustained-release tablets,while the observation group was treated with Tianma Gouteng decoction on the basis of that of the control group.The clinical efficacy,the blood pressure levels,the TCM syndrome scores and the vascular endothelial function index[endothelin-1(ET-1),nitric oxide(NO)]levels before and after the treatment,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 94.00%(47/50),which was higher than 80.00%(40/50)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the levels of systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the scores of TCM syndromes such as dizziness,headache,irritability,less sleep and more dreams,bitter mouth and dry mouth,and constipation in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of ET-1 in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,and that in the observation group was lower than that in the control group;the NO levels of the two groups were higher than those before the treatment,and that in the observation group was higher than that in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Tianma Gouteng decoction combined with Felodipine sustained-release tablets in the treatment of EH with hyperactivity of liver yang can improve the total effective rate of treatment,improve the levels of vascular endothelial function indexes,and reduce the blood pressure levels and the TCM syndrome scores.Moreover,it is superior to simple Felodipine sustained-release tablets treatment.
