Application effects of cognitive behavioral nursing in school-age children with epilepsy
Objective:To observe application effects of cognitive behavioral nursing in school-age children with epilepsy. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 104 school-age children with epilepsy admitted to this hospital from February 2020 to January 2022.They were divided into observation group and control group according to the random number table method,52 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, while the observation group was given the cognitive behavioral nursing on the basis of that of the control group. The compliance rate, the scores of negative emotions[self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS)],intelligence[Wechsler intelligence scale for children(C-WISC)],and quality of life[general quality of life inventory-74(GQOLI-74)]before and after the nursing, and the nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results:The compliance rate of the observation group was 96.15%(50/52),which was higher than 84.62%(44/52)of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the nursing, the scores of SAS and SDS in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the nursing, the C-WISC scores of operation quotient, verbal intelligence quotient and total intelligence quotient in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the nursing, the scores of GQOLI-74 dimensions such as material life, social function, physical function and psychological function in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the nursing satisfaction of the observation group was 96.15%(50/52),which was higher than 82.69%(43/52)of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The cognitive behavioral nursing in the school-age children with epilepsy can improve the compliance rate, the intelligence scores, the quality of life scores and the nursing satisfaction, and reduce the negative emotion scores. Moreover,it is superior to the routine nursing.
