Influencing factors of heart failure in elderly patients with hypertension
Objective:To observe influencing factors of heart failure in elderly patients with hypertension. Methods:The clinical data of 215 elderly patients with hypertension collected by Fuding Center for Disease Control and Prevention from January to December 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. The incidence of heart failure in the 215 elderly patients with hypertension was analyzed.According to whether heart failure occurred, they were divided into occurrence group and non-occurrence group. The general data of the two groups were compared.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of heart failure in the elderly patients with hypertension. Results:Among the 215 elderly patients with hypertension,22 cases developed heart failure, accounting for 10.23%(22/215).The proportions of the patients with age≥70 years old, female, body mass index≥24.0 kg/m2,smoking history, combined diabetes, combined coronary heart disease, and poor blood pressure control in the occurrence group were higher than those in the non-occurrence group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that age≥70 years old, female, body mass index≥24.0 kg/m2,smoking history, combined diabetes, combined coronary heart disease, and poor blood pressure control were all risk factors for heart failure in the elderly patients with hypertension(OR>1,P<0.05).Conclusions:Age≥70 years old, female, body mass index≥24.0 kg/m2,smoking history, combined diabetes, combined coronary heart disease, and poor blood pressure control are the risk factors for heart failure in the elderly patients with hypertension.
