Application effects of Dexmedetomidine combined with brachial plexus block in patients with clavicle fracture surgery
Objective:To observe application effects of Dexmedetomidine combined with brachial plexus block in patients with clavicle fracture surgery.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 60 patients with clavicle fracture admitted to the hospital from May 2021 to May 2023.According to the random number table method,they were divided into study group and control group,30 cases in each group.The control group was treated with brachial plexus block,while the study group was treated with Dexmedetomidine combined with brachial plexus block.The levels of anesthesia-related indexes(duration of motor block,duration of sensory block),hemodynamic indexes(heart rate,mean arterial pressure)at different time[before anesthesia(T0),15 min after anesthesia(T1),30 min after anesthesia(T2)and at the end of the surgery(T3)],stress indexes[norepinephrine(NE),cortisol(Cor),epinephrine(E)]before and after the surgery,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The duration of motor block and sensory block in the study group were longer than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).At T1~T3,the levels of heart rate and mean arterial pressure in the two groups were lower than those at T0,but those in the study group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).At 24 h after the surgery,the levels of NE,Cor and E in the two groups were higher than those before the surgery,but those in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Dexmedetomidine combined with brachial plexus block in the patients undergoing clavicular fracture surgery can improve the levels of anesthesia-related indexes,stabilize the levels of hemodynamic indexes,and reduce the levels of stress indexes.Moreover,it is superior to simple brachial plexus block.
