Effects of Qishen Yiqi dropping pills combined with conventional western medicine in treatment of patients with chronic heart failure
Objective:To observe effects of Qishen Yiqi dropping pills combined with conventional western medicine in treatment of patients with chronic heart failure(CHF).Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 74 patients with CHF admitted to this hospital from January 2022 to June 2023.According to the random number table method,they were divided into control group and study group,37 cases in each group.The control group was treated with conventional western medicine,while the study group was treated with Qishen Yiqi dropping pills on the basis of that of the control group.The clinical efficacy,the cardiac function indexes[left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),left ventricular fractional shortening(LVFS),left ventricular end-systolic diameter(LVESD),left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD)],the myocardial injury markers[heart-type fatty acid binding protein(hFABP),N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP),galectin-3(Gal-3)]levels before and after the treatment,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of treatment in the study group was 94.59%,which was higher than 78.38%in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the levels of LVEF and LVFS in the two groups were higher than those before the treatment,and those in the study group were higher than those in the control group;the LVEDD and LVESD of the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,and those in the study group were lower than those in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the levels of NT-proBNP,hFABP and Gal-3 in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,those in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Qishen Yiqi dropping pills combined with conventional western medicine in the treatment of the CHF patients can improve the total effective rate of treatment,improve the levels of cardiac function indexes,and reduce the levels of myocardial injury markers.Moreover,it is superior to simple conventional western medicine treatment.
