Effects of Biejiajian pills combined with Adefovir dipivoxil in treatment of patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis
Objective:To observe effects of Biejiajian pills combined with Adefovir dipivoxil in treatment of patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 86 patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis admitted to the hospital from May 2020 to May 2023.According to the random number table method, they were divided into study group and control group,43 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Adefovir dipivoxil, while the study group was treated with Biejiajian pills on the basis of that of the control group. The clinical efficacy, the TCM syndrome scores, the liver function indexes[total bilirubin(TBIL),alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST)]levels, the liver fibrosis indexes[type IV collagen(C-IV),laminin(LN),hyaluronic acid(HA)]levels, the T cell subsets index levels before and after the treatment, and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of treatment in the study group was 95.35%(41/43),which was higher than 79.07%(34/43)in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the scores of TCM syndromes such as abdominal fullness, anorexia and fatigue, and flank pain in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment, those in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the levels of TBIL,ALT and AST in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment, those in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the levels of C-IV,LN and HA in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment, those in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the levels of CD3+and CD4+in the two groups were higher than those before the treatment, and those in the study group were higher than those in the control group;the levels of CD8+in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment, and that in the study group was lower than that in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Biejiajian pills combined with Adefovir dipivoxil in the treatment of the patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis can improve the total effective rate of treatment, improve the levels of T cell subsets, and reduce the TCM syndrome scores, the liver function index levels and the liver fibrosis index levels. Moreover,it is superior to simple Adefovir dipivoxil treatment.
