Influencing factors of postpartum diabetes in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus
Objective:To analyze influencing factors of postpartum diabetes in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus. Methods:A cross-sectional study was conducted on 410 patients with gestational diabetes mellitus admitted to this hospital from January 2020 to September 2023.The clinical data of these patients were collected.According to whether postpartum diabetes occurred, they were divided into occurrence group and non-occurrence group.Logistic regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of postpartum diabetes in the patients with gestational diabetes mellitus. Results:Among the 410 patients with gestational diabetes mellitus,76 cases of postpartum diabetes occurred with an incidence of 18.54%.There were no significant differences in pre-pregnancy body mass index(BMI),gravidity, parity, mode of delivery and history of hypertension between the two groups(P>0.05).The proportions of the patients with age≥27 years old, intrapartum BMI≥26 kg/m2,combined hyperlipidemia, insulin use during pregnancy, postpartum exercise time<1 h/d,family history of diabetes, fasting blood glucose(FPG)≥7.0 mmol/L,and glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c)≥5.8%in the occurrence group were higher than those in the non-occurrence group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that intrapartum BMI≥26 kg/m2,family history of diabetes, combined hyperlipidemia, postpartum exercise time<1 h/d,FPG≥7.0 mmol/L,HbA1c≥5.8%were risk factors for postpartum diabetes in the patients with gestational diabetes mellitus(OR>1,P<0.05).Conclusions:Intrapartum BMI≥26 kg/m2,family history of diabetes, combined hyperlipidemia, postpartum exercise time<1 h/d,FPG≥7.0 mmol/L,HbA1c≥5.8%are the risk factors for postpartum diabetes in the patients with gestational diabetes mellitus.
