Effects of Bacillus licheniformis capsule,live combined with quadruple therapy in treatment of elderly patients with Helicobacter pylori positive functional dyspepsia
Objective:To observe effects of Bacillus licheniformis capsule,live combined with quadruple therapy in treatment of elderly patients with Helicobacter pylori(Hp)positive functional dyspepsia(FD).Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 280 elderly patients with Hp-positive FD admitted to this hospital from August 2020 to August 2023.According to the random number table method,they were divided into observation group and control group,140 cases in each group.The control group was treated with quadruple therapy,while the observation group was treated with Bacillus licheniformis capsule,live on the basis of that of the control group.The Hp eradication rate,the remission time of clinical symptoms(abdominal distension,upper abdominal pain,loss of appetite),the level of intestinal flora,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The Hp eradication rate in the observation group was 95.00%,which was significantly higher than 87.86%in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The remission time of clinical symptoms such as abdominal distension,upper abdominal pain and loss of appetite in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).After the treatment,the levels of Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus in two groups were higher than before the treatment,and those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusions:Bacillus licheniformis capsule,live combined with quadruple therapy can improve the Hp eradication rate,shorten the remission time of clinical symptoms and improve the level of intestinal flora in the elderly patients with Hp positive functional dyspepsia.Moreover,it is superior to single quadruple therapy.
