Effects of Tongdu Jieyu acupuncture combined with Bushen Zhichan prescription and Levodopa and Benserazide hydrochloride tablets in treatment of patients with Parkinson's disease with sleep disorders
Objective:To observe effects of Tongdu Jieyu acupuncture combined with Bushen Zhichan prescription and Levodopa and Benserazide hydrochloride tablets in treatment of patients with Parkinson's disease with sleep disorders.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 260 patients with Parkinson's disease and sleep disorders admitted to the hospital from March 2021 to April 2023.According to the random number table method,they were divided into study group and control group,130 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Bushen Zhichan prescription combined with Levodopa and Benserazide hydrochloride tablets,while the study group was treated with Tongdu Jieyu acupuncture on the basis of that of the control group.The total effective rate of sleep disorder treatment,the Pittsburgh sleep index(PSQI)score,the Parkinson's disease sleep scale(PDSS)score,the serum neurotransmitter index(5-hydroxytryptamine,dopamine,substance P)levels,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of sleep disorder treatment in the study group was 97.69%,which was significantly higher than 92.31%in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).After the treatment,the PDSS scores of the two groups were higher than those before the treatment,and that in the study group was higher than that in the control group;the PSQI scores of the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,and that in the study group was lower than that in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).After the treatment,the levels of serum neurotransmitters such as 5-hydroxytryptamine,dopamine and substance P in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,those in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusions:Tongdu Jieyu acupuncture combined with Bushen Zhichan prescription and Levodopa and Benserazide hydrochloride tablets in the treatment of the patients with Parkinson's disease and sleep disorders can improve the total effective rate and the PDSS scores,and reduce the PSQI scores and the serum neurotransmitter index levels.Moreover,it is superior to Bushen Zhichan prescription combined with Levodopa and Benserazide hydrochloride tablets treatment.
