Effects of Yiwei Huacai decoction combined with conventional Western medicine in treatment of patients with chronic gastritis
Objective:To observe effects of Yiwei Huacai decoction combined with conventional Western medicine in treatment of patients with chronic gastritis.Methods:The clinical data of 90 patients with chronic gastritis admitted to this hospital from 2021 to 2022 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different treatment methods,they were divided into control group and observation group,45 cases in each group.The control group was treated with conventional Western medicine,while the observation group was treated with Yiwei Huacai decoction on the basis of that of the control group.Both groups were treated continuously for 1 month.The clinical efficacy,the TCM syndrome scores,the gastric motility indexes(gastric antrum contraction frequency,gastric antrum contraction amplitude,gastric emptying time)levels,the inflammatory factors[interleukin-2(IL-2),interleukin-6(IL-6),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)]levels before and after the treatment,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 97.78%(44/45),which was higher than 82.22%(37/45)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).After the treatment,the scores of TCM syndromes such as main symptoms and secondary symptoms in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).After the treatment,the frequency and amplitude of gastric antrum contraction in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,the gastric emptying time was shorter than that in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).After the treatment,the levels of IL-2,IL-6 and TNF-α in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusions:Yiwei Huacai decoction combined with conventional Western medicine in the treatment of the patients with chronic gastritis can improve the total effective rate of treatment,reduce the TCM syndrome scores and the inflammatory factor levels,and improve the levels of gastric motility index.Moreover,it is superior to single conventional western medicine treatment.
