Effects of Leonurus injection combined with Tranexamic acid on prevention of postpartum hemorrhage in high-risk pregnant women undergoing cesarean section
Objective:To explore effects of Leonurus injection combined with Tranexamic acid on prevention of postpartum hemorrhage in high-risk pregnant women undergoing cesarean section. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 110 high-risk pregnant women undergoing cesarean section admitted to this hospital from January 2021 to December 2022.They were divided into control group and study group according to the random number table method,55 cases in each group. Both groups were routinely used Oxytocin to prevent postpartum hemorrhage. On this basis, the control group was treated with Tranexamic acid, while the study group was treated with Leonurus injection on the basis of that of the control group. The hemostatic effect, the levels of coagulation indexes[thrombin time(TT),prothrombin time(PT),activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT)and fibrinogen(FIB)]before and after the treatment, the amount of bleeding 2 and 24 h after delivery, the hemostatic time, the duration of uterine contraction and the duration of lochia, and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of hemostasis in the study group was 94.55%(52/55),which was higher than 81.82%(45/55)in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the plasma FIB level in the study group was higher than that in the control group, and the APTT,TT and PT were shorter than those in the control group;the amount of bleeding 2 and 24 hours after delivery were less than those in the control group, and the duration of uterine contraction was longer than that in the control group;the hemostasis time and the duration of lochia were shorter than those in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Leonurus injection combined with Tranexamic acid can effectively prevent postpartum hemorrhage in the high-risk pregnant women undergoing cesarean section, promote the uterine contraction, improve the coagulation function, reduce the postpartum hemorrhage, and shorten the hemostasis time and the duration of lochia. Moreover,it is superior to simple Tranexamic acid treatment.
