Application effects of tracking nursing based on Snyder's hope theory in patients with chronic ulcerative colitis
Objective:To observe application effects of tracking nursing based on Snyder's hope theory in patients with chronic ulcerative colitis(UC).Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 66 patients with UC admitted to the hospital from February 2022 to February 2023.According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and observation group,33 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, while the observation group was given the tracking nursing based on Snyder's hope theory. The hospitalization time, the number of readmissions, the negative emotions[Hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA),Hamilton depression scale(HAMD)]scores, the quality of life[inflammatory bowel disease quality of life questionnaire(IBDQ)]scores before and after the nursing, and the nursing compliance were compared between the two groups. Results:The hospitalization time of the observation group was shorter than that of the control group, the number of readmissions was less than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the nursing, the HAMA,HAMD scores of the two groups were lower than those before the nursing, those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The nursing compliance of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,after the nursing, the IBDQ scores of systemic symptoms, intestinal symptoms, emotional ability and social ability in the two groups were higher than those before nursing, those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The tracking nursing based on Snyder's hope theory in the UC patients can improve the nursing compliance and the quality of life scores, shorten the hospitalization time, reduce the number of readmissions and the negative emotional scores. Moreover,it is superior to the routine nursing.
