Influencing factors of nickel-titanium instrument separation in root canal preparation of patients with pulp disease undergoing root canal therapy
Objective:To analyze influencing factors of nickel-titanium instrument separation in root canal preparation of patients with pulp disease undergoing root canal therapy. Methods:The clinical data of 120 patients with pulp disease undergoing root canal therapy admitted to this hospital from January 2021 to December 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. The nickel-titanium instrument separation during the root canal preparation in the patients with endodontic root canal treatment was statistically analyzed.Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of nickel-titanium instrument separation in the root canal preparation of the patients with endodontic root canal treatment. Results:In the root canal preparation of the 120 patients with endodontic root canal treatment,76 cases of nickel-titanium instrument separation occurred, accounting for 63.33%,which was set as the occurrence group, and the remaining 44 cases were set as the non-occurrence group. The proportions of location of the affected tooth as the molar teeth, instrument use>10 times, instrument taper 4%,root canal curvature>30° in the occurrence group were higher than those in the non-occurrence group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that the location of the affected tooth as the molar teeth, the instrument use>10 times, the instrument taper 4%,the root canal curvature>30° are the risk factors affecting the nickel-titanium instrument separation in the root canal preparation of the patients with pulp disease undergoing root canal therapy(OR>1,P<0.05).Conclusions:The location of the affected tooth as the molar teeth, the instrument use>10 times, the instrument taper 4%,the root canal curvature>30° are the risk factors affecting the nickel-titanium instrument separation in the root canal preparation of the patients with pulp disease undergoing root canal therapy.
