Effects of Budesonide combined with Azithromycin sequential therapy in children with mycoplasma pneumonia
Objective:To observe effects of Budesonide combined with Azithromycin sequential therapy in children with mycoplasma pneumonia. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 70 children with mycoplasma pneumonia admitted to this hospital from August 2021 to August 2023.According to the random number table method, they were divided into study group and control group,35 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Azithromycin sequential therapy, while the study group was treated with Budesonide aerosol inhalation on the basis of that of the control group. The clinical efficacy, the inflammatory indexes[serum C-reactive protein(CRP),white blood cell count(WBC)]levels, the blood gas analysis indexes[arterial partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2),arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2),blood oxygen saturation]levels, and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of the study group was 97.14%,which was significantly higher than 74.29%of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the levels of CRP,WBC and other inflammatory indexes in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment, those in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the levels of blood oxygen saturation and PaO2 in the two groups were higher than those before the treatment, and those in the study group were higher than those in the control group;the PaCO2 level of the two groups was lower than that before the treatment, and that of the study group was lower than that of the control group;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Budesonide combined with Azithromycin sequential therapy for the children with mycoplasma pneumonia can improve the total effective rate of treatment, improve the levels of blood gas indexes, and reduce the levels of inflammatory indexes. Moreover,it is superior to simple Azithromycin sequential therapy.
