Effects of Xipayi mouth rinse combined with Minocycline hydrochloride and periodental non-surgical treatment on patients with periodontitis
Objective:To observe effects of Xipayi mouth rinse combined with Minocycline hydrochloride and periodental non-surgical treatment on patients with periodontitis.Methods:From October 2022 to October 2023,80 patients with periodontitis admitted to Yahua Stomatology Hospital of Gulou District of Fuzhou city were selected for the prospective study.According to the random number table method,they were divided into study group and control group,40 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Minocycline hydrochloride combined with periodental non-surgical treatment,while the study group was treated with Xipayi mouth rinse on the basis of that of the control group.The levels of serum inflammatory factors[tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin(IL)-1β,IL-6],the pain visual analogue scale(VAS)score,the masticatory efficiency,the periodontal index[gingival index(GI),plaque index(PLI)]levels,and the simplified dentine hypersensitivity experience questionnaire(DHEQ-15)score were compared between the two groups.Results:After the treatment,the masticatory efficiency of the study group were higher than those of the control group;the levels of serum inflammatory factors such as IL-1β,TNF-α and IL-6 and periodontal indexes such as PLI,GI,the VAS scores and the DHEQ-15 scores were lower than those of the control group;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:Xipayi mouth rinse combined with Minocycline hydrochloride and periodental non-surgical treatment for the patients with periodontitis can improve their masticatory efficiencies and reduce the serum inflammatory factor levels,periodontal index levels,VAS scores and DHEQ-15 scores.Moreover,it is superior to Minocycline hydrochloride combined with periodental non-surgical treatment.
