Effects of single high-dose Methotrexate combined with Mifepristone in treatment of patients with ectopic pregnancy
Objective:To observe effects of single high-dose Methotrexate combined with Mifepristone in treatment of patients with ectopic pregnancy.Methods:The clinical data of 70 patients with ectopic pregnancy admitted to this hospital from January 2021 to December 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.According to the different administration methods of Methotrexate injection,they were divided into observation group and control group,35 cases in each.The observation group was treated with single high-dose Methotrexate combined with Mifepristone,while the control group was treated with multiple low-dose Methotrexate combined with Mifepristone.The negative conversion time of human chorionic gonadotropin(β-HCG),the mass disappearance time,the menstrual recovery time,the laboratory indexes[vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),inhibin(INH-A),pregnancy-associated plasma protein-A(PAPP-A)]levels,the sex hormone indexes(β-HCG,estradiol,progesterone)levels,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The negative conversion time of β-HCG and the mass disappearance time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the levels of serum VEGF,INH-A,PAPP-A and other laboratory indexes and sex hormones such as β-HCG,estradiol and progesterone in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there were no significant differences in the menstrual recovery time and the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Single high-dose Methotrexate combined with Mifepristone in the treatment of ectopic pregnancy can shorten the negative conversion time of β-HCG and the mass disappearance,and reduce the levels of laboratory indexes and sex hormone indexes.Moreover,it is superior to multiple low-dose Methotrexate combined with Mifepristone treatment.
